A customer recently asked how to change a picklist control to display both the text and code properties when A user invokes the picklist in the SalesLogix LAN client. There are actually two settings you should set when doing this, the second and less obvious one is the critical one.
To do this you need to set the 2 properties of the picklist control in the SalesLogix Architect.
By default the TextType is set to ttItem, you should be able to switch this to be ttCodeItem.
You then also need to change the PopupColumns property of the picklist to match what you want. Here are the valid values:
1 – Display only the Order column
2 - Display only the Code column
3 – Display both the Order and Code columns
4 - Display only the Item column
5 – Display both the Order and Item columns
6 – Display both the Code and Item columns
7 – Display all three of the columns (Order, Code and Item)
Any other value will not display any Column in the PickList popup
